Screamfest was a blast, plain and simple. We hafta to start by thanking Petey and the folks at Screamfest, and especially to everyone who dropped by our table, got their pictures with the boys and ventured in to see the Spectremen play. We'll probably have a special Screamfest page with all the pictures and who knows what else.. be patient, the pictures are on the way.

Albany was fun. Unfortunately, not everyone stuck around after the local bands played, but there were enough to make it a good time. Its always good to see Kim and Hugh, glad to see they are back at'em with Gator.

Check out the offical site for all the details and the recently added guests.
The entire weekend is only $20 and the Screamfest site has a great package deal.

The Spectremen are super excited about playing this year and hopefully will become repeat guests at the convention.

BIRTHDAY NEWS AND MORE
[May 22-]
The Spectremen played an unannounced four song mini set during the Bitch show last Friday night to officially welcome Evil Jim in to the Spectremen. The show was a birthday party for Evil Jim, Dr Syn, Dave E. G., and a few others that I can't remember and saw the return of both Bitch and the Road Hawgs with lots of special guests. Thanks to Jim and to Bitch for sharing their time.

We've added a new feature at our Myspace page. We'll be doing a show journal starting with this past Friday. We'll add insights into the other bands and all the general craziness that goes on. Let us know what you think.

The Spectremen are in their new practice space and have resumed their regular schedule. Should just be a matter of times before they get back to the road.

MICKEY
[May 13-]
Without going in details, we here at Spectremen Central want to send our deepest condolences to Mickey and his family for their recent loss. Please, along with us, keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

SHOW CANCELLED
[May 6-]
The Spectremen are sadden to annouce that due to an unavoidable circumstance, they are bowing out of the show in Nashville, May 21, at the Sweet Water Supper Club.
The show will still take place, as the Lonesome Town Drifters, Creeping Cruds, and the Massacres are still playing. The Spectremen were really excited and looking forward to playing the show.

We do not wish to go into details at the moment, but will let you know when things are settled.
We do apologize and will see you all soon.

THE NEWS THAT SHOOK THE WORLD!
[April 26-]
There is so much news this week, we almost don't know where to start.. sooo...

Shirts will be availible this Friday. We'll post a picture of the design (its the new drum head for those who have seen it..) once they come in and we have a description of the colors availible.

If all goes as planned, the next Spectremen album will be released on Dr. Cyclops Records. We are extremely excited to be working with these guys and look forward to producing the best album so far.
Things should be all set and only waiting for the finished product. We'll keep you posted on all the details.

And the biggest announcement..
Long time friend and guitar god, Evil Jim has joined the Spectremen full time. Jim and the Spectremen have worked closely for several years, both playing with Jim's other bands (The Evils, Bitch etc..) and appearing at Jim's infamous Halloween shows. In addition, Jim has joined the boys on stage several times, and filled at the benefit for Mickey in 2001.
For those of you who have been lucky enough to see Jim, either with the Spectremen or in his own bands, you know why we are so excited to have him aboard and have an idea for what's in store for the future.
The Spectremen are moving to a new practice space, so they should be back to work very shortly. Not sure when the first show with Jim will be, but as soon as he's comfortable, we'll set that up.. and have it here for you first.
til next time...

SHOWS UPDATE/OTHER BITS
[April 14-]
Don't forget that the Spectremen will be at Mulligan's tomorrow night, April 15th. The Screamin' Demons will also be playing.

We have the line up for the May 21st show in Nashville at the Springwater Supper Club and Lounge. Along with the Spectremen, Nashville's The Lonesome Town Drifters and the Creeping Cruds are set for the night. We just got the word that we had been hoping for.. windy city pyschobilly madness The Massacres, have confirmed that they'll be making the trip down from Chicago. This has shaped up to be a kick ass show.

The Spectremen and the Screamin' Demons are confirmed in Memphis on Saturday, June 4. We are only waiting for the decision on which club. Details as we get them.

We're busting our stitches here at Spectremen Central with two HUGE announcements, but we're awaiting an okay from the boys before we go ahead with them. Both will have a tremedous impact on the Spectremen and the horror-punk world. Keep checking, as we are gonna hopefully get the okay this Friday night.

Expect more pictures from the April 2nd show at the Star Bar with the Evils. We'll be going through them and adding them to the pics page this weekend. Keep an eye out for them.
Keep checking for updates.
We'll see you tomorrow night at Mulligans!

NEW PICTURES/SHOW NEWS
[April 2-]
First off, we want to thank everyone who came out last night to the Star Bar. Extra special thanks to the Evils and the Unsatisfied. If there was a show that had too much rock-n-roll, this just might have been it. It is always a pleasure to share the stage with these guys..

We send our best wishes and much luck to the Evils bassist, Johnny Rival, who is moving back to France. You will be missed.

New pictures are up of the show last night and more are on the way. Head on over to the pictures page and to check 'em out.

Coming within the next couple of weeks, the Spectremen's debut cd, Man Made Monster, will be available over at Crypt Of Blood Records. Huge thanks to Travis and Crypt Of Blood Records for making this cd widely available once again. Look out for a second pressing of Rockin The Dead, which will also be sold through Crypt Of Blood Records. The new pressing will have some new art, several different songs as well as a few surprises.

As new shirts, stickers, posters, and anything else we can think up comes available, it will also be sold at Crypt Of Blood Records. We are super excited about having a reputable source dealing in Spectremen merch. Keep an eye on this space for updates on new items.

Then, May 21, the Spectremen will be invading Nashville, TN to rock the Springwater Supper Club & Lounge! This will be the first time the Spectremen have played Nashville and the boys are super excited. Not too sure who is also playing that night.. We'll announce that as we get the info..

THE BIGGEST SHOW SINCE CREATION!!
[Feburary 28-]
HOLY ROCK-N-ROLL ATOM BOMB!! The Spectremen will be joining the Evils for a night of Rock-N-Roll Horror and Madness at Atlanta's Star Bar, April 2. The Evils are one of the best bands to come out of Atlanta, and this reunion is looong over due.

For those who haven't heard the Evils, this is rock-n-roll the way it was meant to be.. loud, fast, and loads of attitude. It is a pleasure to share the stage once again with these guys. This is one show not to be missed.

Word has it, there is a ton of footage from the Spectremen invasion of Las Vegas. We here at Spectremen central are trying to get some of the best moments and will post them if we can. We'll keep you updated.

There are quite a few other shows in the works and only awaiting final confirmation before we release any info.. keep watching...

FINALLY BACK FROM THE DEAD...
[Febuary 02-]
Sorry for the lack of updates and news for the past weeks, seems the JOHNNYTRON 5000 computer went all haywire. But we are back and better than ever.
First thing.. Congratulations to Stench and Andrea for their upcoming wedding this weekend. The Spectre-crew will be flying to Las Vegas tomorrow night for the big event. We all wish Stench and Andrea nothing but the best and much happiness in the years to come.

As soon as the boys get back from Las Vegas, things here at Spectremen Central will get cranked up again. Shows and small tours are in the works and even some studio time will be booked in the near future for an upcoming comp. We'll let you know as soon as everything gets finalized..

Hopefully some shows with Chicago's The Massacres will work out here in Atlanta and up in Chicago. We are starting talks with them to get everything planned out. The Spectremen are super excited and these shows are not to be missed. Keep Checking for details...

FIRST ROME, GA. NOW LYCOS..
[December 20-]
It seems that our less than gracious host of our videos has decided to shut us down and give us the boot. There was no warning or anything, the Imperial Lycos just left a note saying that our account has been terminated. Never fear though, the video files have been moved and are already up and running.. sorry for the down time. Just right-click and save as.. and enjoy.

VIDEOS
[December 17-]
For those who have been asking, video downloads (Quick Time format) are available! Thanks to Lazy Punk Video, five videos from the farewell show last March are on the disco page for your viewing pleasure. The songs are 50 Foot Woman, Dead By Dawn, Zombie Beach Party, Zombie Hop with Stench's farewell Truffle Shuffle in the beginning, and a cover of Astrozombies. They are a little dark, but the sound is really good and definitely worth checking out.
I believe we have some more footage that is being worked on. Hopefully those will be ready fairly soon.

And as a heads up... There is some talk about the Spectremen playing in late January, probably at Mulligans again. Nothing inked yet, but we are working on a few things. More details as they come in...

UPDATES, MP3s
[December 07-]
Just wanted to let everyone know that we have added tons of new mp3s over on the disco page. There is now a lot of hard to find stuff off the first album, so feel free to enjoy these. We hope to be adding some more unreleased stuff (live stuff, covers etc) in the coming weeks.
If you haven't yet, get on over to our Myspace page and join up. The page is much more successful that we ever could imagined.. so thanks to everyone who has checked it out.

Not a whole lot is going on around Spectremen HQ at the moment. Everyone is really busy with Christmas stuff, but we are already planning big things for the new year. We'll keep adding stuff on here and at the Myspace page, so keep checking back often.

NEW PICS, SHOW BITS
[November 08-]
First off, thanks to everyone who came out to Mulligan's on Saturday. The show was a blast and a near perfect way for the Spectremen to be turned loose once again. The boys seemed like they never stopped, even debuting a thunderous cover of The Damned's New Rose. Good to see that everyone remembered the songs, even a few that we forgot about. Look for more shows in the near future.

Right now, you can check out 10 pictures from the show up in the pics section with 10 or so on the way. Hopefully we'll have a review of the show up soon as well.

SPECTREMEN COMEBACK SPECIAL!
[November 01-]
For everyone in Georgia, the first show since March has now been scheduled. Saturday, Nov 06, the Spectremen will have their comeback show at Mulligan's in Decatur. The boys are headlining, but we're still waiting for details on the rest of the show. We'll post the address, times, and all other details as they come in.

NEW PAGES, SITE NEWS
[October 20-]
We are now up on Myspace.com, Soundclick.com, and building on PureVolume.com. We're gonna try to have exclusive content on each page, including different mp3s, as we go along. Its another way that we can connect with fans and friends.. so check 'em out.

There will some down time for the site coming up... nothing serious, just some server maintenance. We have scheduled our maintenance window between 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 6 and 5:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 7 (Eastern Time).

[October 05-]
Just a quick update on a few things... The pics page is up and running now and new pictures sections are on the way. Also the mp3s are fixed and working.. so feel free to enjoy those.
We're planning a few new things this time around. Possible individual bio pages with features from the boys themselves.. (this oughta be interesting) We'll keep you posted on all the things we have in the works...

BACK FROM THE DEAD!
[September 27-]
Hiya kids...
For the first time since the farewell show in March, all four of the Spectremen practised together this past Sunday. Things went very well... and the chances for the return of the Ghoul Rock Legends are looking very very good.

Originally, there were no plans to revive the Spectremen as Dr. Syn had been working in other bands and everyone else have been busy in their personal lives. Dan and Stench were talking about playing, got Syn, and naturally talked to Mickey about just playing one afternoon. As soon as they got together, everything came back, falling perfectly back in to place. So welcome back the kings of the dead.. The Spectremen.

So, with that, the site has returned and will be updated with all the news, new pictures and, anything and everything else we always wanted to do. Keep checking here, the new SPECTREMEN.NET, and you can watch as the horror returns... restless, rejuvenated and ready to be unleashed once again...
